Just wanted to give a shout out and many thanks to Deborah Whitman and Tom Pettit who helped me produce Breaking Ground for Peace, winner in the Cine Visionaries category of the Sacramento International Film Festival this year. Yes, I know about distractions. I am seriously thinking about taking the November ScreenwritingU.com class. How often did they meet? Via a phone conference I would guess. How time consuming are the exercises? Was 6 months too long, too short, or just right?

Hi Jennifer,
Congrats on the birth of the 5th screenplay!I would like to hear your story about getting an agent.
My genre? Well I have two scripts in the works:
1> Thriller/Action/Espionage that takes place in silicon valley. 26 pages completed. Stalled at this point. And then I started the outline story #2.
2> Horror genre. It is a zombie flick that involves a journey from Travis Air Force base to Santa Cruz beach boardwalk. Think Zombieland meets Damnation Alley meets the Wizard of Oz.
Actually I have been out of work (senior technical writer/silicon valley) for the past several months but am happy to report I start a full-time gig on this Monday. And my lease expires Nov 27 so I am also looking for a new apt. With all of these stressors I have not spent much time on the screenplays. My question for you is how do you schedule your writing and actually get stuff done?
