The Importance of Film Festivals...
With as many starving actresses, actors and crew out there, one would think that those looking to work more in the film industry would attend every event that could bring them closer to their goal. However, so many don't understand just how film festivals play into that goal. I am an avid festival goer as I know that it is there that I will find those that I want to work with in the future. By watching others films and networking with those film makers I have been able to access some of the…

sharing an Embassy Suite?
If any other attending filmmakers to the 2013 Sacramento Int'l Film Festival want to be more economical and split an Embassy Suite with one quiet, friendly screenwriter, let me know. I have a reservation but don't need the whole place to myself.

The Connection Between Sacramento & American Courtesans
While the idea for American Courtesans may have been sparked by a visit to an S&M club in NYC (see http://www.americancourtesans.com/about2.php); the actual creation took place on the opposite coast in Sacramento CA. Our company, Centex Enterprises, is located here in Sacto.
Kristen DiAngelo (Producer) and I began writing and brainstorming our documentary here. It went together quickly, taking only a couple of weeks…

Accounts Receivable
Accounts Receivable was shot in Sacramento, California. Shooting seventeen pages in two twelve-hour days is not recommended for the weak of heart. But the cast and crew were experienced, prepared and eager.
We were able to lure Christopher Holley away from the Hollywood hills for a few days. Chris has a knack of portraying what I like to call intimate menace. The softer he talks, the more nervous everyone gets. Perfect for the role of Dante, whom an L.A. suit might…

David Tinsley - Bio - Prima Facie (Short Film) Supporting Actor
David was born and raised in Detroit, MI. He has always been fascinated and intrigued by theatre and cinema. David was formally introduced to the craft during his freshman year of undergraduate studies. He minored in Black Theatre while attending the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) and felt that it was therapeutic to the somewhat stressful courses required for his Engineering degree. Some of his acting efforts include: GEM OF THE OCEAN (Citizen Barlow); RAISIN IN THE SUN (Moving Man);…
