I cannot wait to expand my knowledge on acting and through these workshops I can better prepare myself.

ACTOR'S INITIATIVE: THIS FRIDAY!

Many of you may know we are now doing features on members called "CFF Profiles". This is an exciting way for actors, writers or really anyone to advertise what they do to our netork and beyond. Already several of our features have been picked up by the blogs and seen tremendous results.

This Friday at our CFF Mix & Meet in Sacramento we'll be holding a marketing workshop to better help you market yourself. Here's the deal, CFF and the Sacramento Film Festival are not simply interested in screening your film or having you out to meetings. We want to help develop you for professional success. This means marketing. Please come on Friday and see how you can better promote yourself to the world and how our suite of tools can help!

My writing workshop, at the It Factor, begins next Saturday, Aug. 4th, from 10:00 to noon.  We'll meet every other Saturday.  Contact me for more details if you're interested.

Just a reminder to everyone.  I started my acting class at the It Factor last night.  Lots of fun AND, on Saturday (Aug. 4) I'm going to start the writing workshop which will meet every other Saturday.  Give me a holler if you're interested in either class.

I loved speaking last night at the California Film Foundation gathering.  Thanks, Marty, and I hope you had a great B'day.

My only regret was that I didn't have more time.  Feel free to hit me up with questions.  I'm also thinking of putting together my notes into a sort of mini-book (about 18 pages) on screenwriting.  It's very nuts and bolts stuff.  I'll probably offer for some ridiculously low fee.  :-)

At any rate, I'm here if anyone needs me...either for script consultation or...come join my workshop starting Aug. 4th at the It Factor.  E-mail me at richardbroadhurst64@yahoo.com

I'm VERY MUCH looking forward to doing Marty's screenwriting seminar on Friday, July 6th.  Bring LOTS of questions.  I won't have all the answers, but I'll do the best I can.

In the mean time, contact me if you'd like help with your script.  I'm doing special discounts for EVERYONE who mentions Marty OR this web site.

Look forward to seeing all of you.

Really feelin the love in this group here. Hope that more folks will post casting notices and availability in the future!

Within the past month or so I've been fortunate and honored to have a number of writers entrust me with their work.  So, just a shout out to: Lew Osteen, Christine Mitchell, Suzanne Gill, Theresa Elliot, and Floyd Harden.  Thanks so much for giving me the chance to offer you my help.  I've been very impressed with all of the work and I've been delighted that two of "my" writers have recently won festivals with their work and a third has just had a script requested by a producer in L.A.

If there's anyone else out there who would like my help, call me or shoot me an e-mail:  916-599-3486 or richardbroadhurst64@yahoo.com.

I'm open for business.  :-)

Warm regards to all,

Richard
